Welcome to the Best Club. Ever
Join a fun loving, passionate and highly motivated team of dog-lovers
Volunteering may start as a desire to help others, but the rewards can go so much further. Joining our community of volunteers will open up a whole new world of opportunities.
From making friends, to becoming part of a close-knit community, to learning a whole new skillset, your contribution will not only improve the lives of people with hearing loss, it will change your life too.
Because as a volunteer at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People you’ll join the Best Club. Ever.
Be a Dog’s Best Friend
We’re looking for passionate, caring people to join our incredible dog training community as a Puppy Trainer or Dog Trainer. This isn’t just volunteering - it’s being part of a motivated, supportive team.
With expert guidance and high-quality training every step of the way, you’ll help a young dog grow into a confident, life-changing hearing dog.
You could welcome a puppy from 8 weeks old, guiding their first steps and big adventures. Or support a young dog from around 12 months, building their confidence and refining more advanced skills. Either way, you’ll never do it alone -our trainers and fellow volunteers are with you throughout.
As part of the team, you’ll:
- Provide a safe, loving home
- Attend fun, engaging weekly training sessions
- Practise training in everyday environments
- Meet your dog’s exercise, feeding and wellbeing needs
- Learn new skills, meet like-minded people and feel proud of every milestone your dog achieves.
Interested in one role - or both? We’ll match you with the right dog for your lifestyle, experience and home.
If you’re ready for something meaningful, motivating and life-changing this is the club to join.
