Hot weather can be wonderful, bringing longer days, time outdoors and more opportunities to be active. But for dogs it can also bring real risks. Unlike us, dogs can’t easily regulate their temperature, meaning even a short time in the heat can quickly become dangerous.


We have teamed up with football legend Stuart Pearce to launch a new campaign encouraging people to volunteer as a hearing dog puppy trainer.

There’s a lot to celebrate! Mowgli has passed his final assessment, Astrid is taking her new training jacket out for a spin, and Jazzy took his first trip on the bus. Well done to all our lovely pups and their teams!

Hearing Dogs has a BBC Lifeline Appeal airing on BBC One at 2.05pm on Sunday 24 May.

This 10-minute televised appeal will bring our work, and the stories of the people we support, to a national audience.
